Michalis Florentiades


As Head of Investment Research and Chief Economist of XM, Michalis has a wealth of expertise and knowledge, accumulated through a successful career in financial services spanning over 22 years. Having developed an early interest in the forex market, investment strategies, and international economic developments, he attended the London School of Economics (LSE), graduating with a BSc in Economics, followed by a Master’s degree in Mathematical Trading and Finance from the City University Business School.

Prior to joining XM, he worked as Head of Research for Hellenic Bank; the country’s third largest commercial lender. He is a CFA Charterholder and sits on the board of a Salamis Investment Company, a global balanced fund of funds.

Raffi Boyadjian


Raffi graduated from the London School of Economics in 1999, with a BSc in Business Mathematics and Statistics, joining PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Business Recoveries team. In 2007, Raffi joined Thomson Reuters, covering the Greek-speaking markets. He was later promoted to Senior Analyst, before becoming a Data Specialist in 2012, responsible for data integration projects.

Raffi joined XM in 2015, writing fundamental reports on forex, commodity and equity markets, as well as technical analysis. He is currently Lead Investment Analyst, delivering insightful and relevant analysis on the latest financial market trends.

Christina Parthenidou


Christina joined the XM investment research department in May 2017. The practical applications of mathematics in the real world inspired her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Cyprus, followed by a master’s degree in Economics and Business, specialising in International Economics, from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Her research combines fundamental and technical analysis to provide complete outlooks for the forex, stock, and commodity markets.

Melina Deltas


Melina joined the XM Research department in December 2017 as an Investment Analyst. She clearly communicates market action, particularly technical and chart pattern setups, as well as fundamental skills. Her technically focused method studies price action across multiple time frames, to capture big moves that develop over years. She has over 6 years of experience in analysing financial markets, specialising in forex, indices, and commodities.

Melina studied Pure Mathematics at Lancaster University and has a Master’s degree in Monetary and Financial Economics from the University of Cyprus. She is also an associate member of the Society of Technical Analysts (STA) and a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe).

Charalampos Pissouros


Charalampos joined the XM Investment Research department in August 2022 as a Senior Investment Analyst. He has extensive experience in analysing financial markets, gained through a decade-long career, with his primary focus being the currency market. His approach is a blend of both fundamental and technical analyses.

Charalampos became a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) of the International Federation of Technical Analysts, after being rated top-of-the class during his studies and excelling in the STA diploma exams with distinction. He is a holder of a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics from the Aegean University in Greece. He is also a member of the Society of Technical Analysts (STA) and the CySEC public register.

Achilleas Georgolopoulos


Achilleas joined XM as an Investment Analyst in November 2022. He holds a BSc in Business Economics from Middlesex University and a MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Bayes Business school, City University.

After spending a year at the HM Treasury as a labour market economist, he decided that his future would be in the private sector. He worked for nearly a decade as a euro area rates strategist at UBS Investment bank and Lloyds bank in London. Achilleas enjoys analysing the foreign exchange and commodities markets and continues to believe that the fixed income market is the heart of the financial system.
